REVIEW | CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF CLEANSING BALM

Clinique take the day off cleansing balm

After reading a few beauty blogs and Tanya Burr talk about this cleansing balm, I decided that I needed to try this cleansing balm. I looked all over the internet, but they do not sell these cleansing balms in Holland (yet). So when I heard that my aunt went to the US for work stuff, I asked her if she could bring me a jar of this stuff. When she came home two weeks later, she came home with three of these jar.

Now I myself have a combination to oily skin, which made me a bit sceptical at first because this is balm turns into an oily balm after you have massaged it into your skin. Now this stuff actually is amazing. I've been using the La Roche Posay Effaclar purifying foam gel as a cleanser for as long as I can remember, so my skin was pretty much used to that product. When I tried this Clinique Take The Day Off balm, it broke me out a little, because every product that I use will break me out in the beginning. Is this just me or does everybody else have this? But now, after using it for about 3 months, I can say that I absolutely love this product.

Whenever I have really late nights from being behind a laptop for a school project or because I went out or something, I just get all of my make-up off with this cleansing balm. I use it 2 times in the evening to give my face a proper cleanse and just 1 time in the morning. I started doing this after hearing Tanya Burr do this and I do find that this is the best way to properly clean my face. When I finished cleansing my face, my skin doesn't feel dry and it also doesn't really feel like my skin got stripped down so there are no natural oils left. When I pat down my face, it still feels nourished, which means it works even better than my La Roche Posay Effaclar purifying foam gel, which tends to dry my skin out from time to time. I absolutely love this product and I'm sure I will use all of the three jars my aunt got me without a doubt.

I definitely recommend picking it up if you have the opportunity, and if you don't have this cleansing balm in a local store near you, like I do, ask someone who might travel to the UK or the US soon to pick it up for you as they sell it at Boots and Macy's. I definitely think it's worth giving a try! Even when you have a combination to oily skin!
