DIARY | THE SUNDAY POST

I feel like it has been a while since I've last done my The Sunday post, which in fact is true. The last time I did a The Sunday Post was in December last year! I didn't get a chance to do one last week as I was in London without a laptop to work and edit on. I did take lots of photos in London and you will be seeing them all in multiple blog posts this upcoming week. I have a cool name for my London series of photos so I've got it all figured out.

So like I told you a gazillion times before is that I went to London last weekend with two of my oldest friends. We left on Friday morning and were supposed to be back Sunday evening, but thanks to a delay that turned into Monday morning.

On Friday we decided to do all of the touristy stuff like visiting the Big Ben and the London Eye, which was one of the best ideas we've had while we were there. As you can see on the photos the weather was amazing on Friday, we had such an amazing blue sky, it was a beautiful Winter day! The rest of the day was spent shopping and we had dinner at Byron, which was lovely. After recharging our phones in the hotel room we decided to head back to the Big Ben and the London Eye in the evening to make some photos when the lights were on, we wandered around a bit and went to bed.

The second day was, sadly enough, very rainy but still good for shopping. So of course we did some shopping before I finally met up with Ellie and Islay. My blogger besties whom I've known for over three years. It was our first time meeting each other and it was so much fun and it didn't feel like this was our first time meeting each other, as we always text, snapchat and tweet each other. Islay's Christmas present was so amazing, she gave me a ticket to go up The Shard, the tallest building in London. Sadly enough it was cloudy but we still were able to see something, so that was pretty cool! After the Shard I went to hang out with Islay, Ellie and my friends and we got the best fish and chips in London, which was soooooo good!!

On Sunday, our last day in London, we decided to get up extra early to get breakfast at Covent Garden. We ended up having breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien, which is always a good idea. After breakfast we wandered around the Covent Garden area, walked to to Trafalgar Square got on the tube to Picadilly Circus and walked to Leicester Square which was lovely, but very cold! We then decided to go back to the hotel and just grab our bags to go the airport and then our flight got delayed and we came home at half 2 in the morning and quickly went to bed.

So that's basically been my weekend in London. I've basically done nothing the rest of this week as I was so tired from walking all around London. To be brutally honest; I'm still recovering from London, but I think I might still be recovering because I am getting ill. Should've worn warmer clothes in London aye!

  1. Looks like you had a lovely time- your photographs are great. I was in London for New Year seeing family. I didn't do much touristy stuff but I did a lot of shopping! Hope you feel better soon. Its funny I actually though London was quite mild compared to what I'm used to (in Scotland).
