ESSENTIALS | SHORT FLIGHT ESSENTIALS

Ever since I was a little girl I got bored on the flights to Marbella. Every year my mum and dad had to come up with another way to entertain me on that 2,5 to 3 hour flight. It started with colouring books, books to read and they eventually got me my first discman at the airport so I could listen to some music. Thanks to them always finding new ways to distract me, I wasn't that annoying crying child on a flight, which I would like to thank my parents for. Now that I'm 18 years old I pretty much know what I need to bring with me on a plane to entertain myself. Because I've been doing this short flight for most of my life now, I thought it would be fun to show you my short flight essentials.

The first thing that I always bring with me on the plane is my laptop. I never used my laptop on the plane before but it reassures me that I am able to watch movies and series if I'm bored. I carry my laptop around in this Sacha laptop case which was sent to me when they sent me their summer gift box in July.

Next thing I bring with me is books. I am a big book reader when I'm on holiday and it got to a point where my suitcase would be overweight because I brought too many books with me. My brother often had to put my books into his nearly empty suitcase on the way back, so my parents told me it was about time that I buy a Kindle to save me, my brother, my parents and the crew at the check-in at the airport the hassle of my overweight suitcase full of books. I like carrying one book on the plane with me, as I still love the feel of an actual book in my hands. This year it'll probably be On Top by blogger Anna Nooshin or Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso.

This next item is essential when you're off on holiday. Your passport. I have my passport in this awesome suede snake-skin passport cover from H&M. Besides the essential passport I also carry around a little purse with all of my cards and a little bit of money. This little purse is from H&M as well.

Thankfully I'm not obliged to carry a discman with me everywhere anymore. I use my iPhone on the plane to listen to music nowadays. I sometimes like to play games too if I'm really bored. Bubble Mania usually becomes my obsession during flights!

The last thing that would be considered an essential is my makeup. I normally do my mascara, eyeliner and brows before I get onto the flight, as it's not a long flight at all. But that's usually it. When I feel like I want my skin to look fairly even, I would use a bit of the Nars concealers.

But let's be honest, because I have to get up at three in the morning to get to the airport, I usually pass out in the plane, wake up to drink a bit of tea and go back to sleep until we land. Yes, I am one of those people who can sleep everywhere. When I wake up, I usually look like death hit me, so I bring my NARS Laguna bronzer with me to warm my face up a bit.

That's it. What do you usually bring with you on the plane?

  3. I know what it's like trying to cram books into your suitcase/bag and having a Kindle is so much easier! I love the design of your passport cover
