FIVE FAVOURITES | DECEMBER

We’re a week into January already, and I only just got around to finally posting about the things that I have loved in the month of December. I had to really sit down and think about what products I really liked using during December, since December really just flew by. So I had to go through posts on my blog and on my Instagram, and really noticed a pattern on the things that I really liked using over the past month.

During December I have been having a moment with these all black All Stars from Converse. I already mentioned how much I had been loving these trainers in this outfit post. But I have basically been wearing them every other day during December. They’re so comfortable and look really good when you’re wearing an all black outfit. I love the white soles on the All Stars, but this black sole gives it just that little bit more of an edge. It makes the outfit look a bit more interesting which I like!

The first thing that immediately sprung to mind when I was thinking about my favourites is this Laura Mercier Mineral Loose Powder. I posted my makeup routine on the blog in December, in which I told you that I had been using this powder on a daily basis again. I pretty much used just this loose powder as ‘coverage’ during the month of December and love that this doesn’t break me out! To see what it looks like on, click here.

In the beginning of December I also wrote a postabout three products that really helped clear up my acne in the past few months. I had been suffering from really painful cystic acne for quite a long time now, and I constantly was trying new products. However, this only made it worse. So I decided to find myself a facial cleanser for sensitive skin that was approved by dermatologists. Because I had been using products that are quite harsh, my skin also got really sensitive. This Kiehl’s cleanser ended up being the perfect solution. It’s kind of milky and rich, without breaking you out. It’s moisturizing and your skin feels clean afterwards, without giving you the squeaky clean, but tight-pulling feeling.

This book has been such an oldy, I first bought it during the autumn of 2014, but every now and again I like to flick through it. In December I decided to reread the whole book, and I had so much fun rereading it, that I had to put it in my favourites again! It’s such a fun and easy read. Every time I read segments out of this book, I feel this need to go to Paris. I just want to wake up in a cute Parisian hotel with gorgeous views of the Parisian streets, to eat lots of croissants and wear all things striped. So yeah, if you’d like to get as obsessed with Paris as I get whenever I read this book, then definitely go and give it a read if you haven’t already!

Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB bag

The last thing I have really been liking is my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB bag. Whenever I get a few days off of uni, I always get to use smaller bags during the day, which means all of my smaller bags get to go out again. This particular bag is something I really love, because it’s such a versatile and special piece to me. I enjoy wearing this bag because ever since I started using this bag, I never really put lots of random stuff into my bag, which really helps with the shoulder aches that I used to have from carrying around really heavy bags with way too much stuff.
