FIVE FAVOURITES OF JANUARY

Happy February everyone! I am so happy that it's finally February. Everyone and their mum has been saying this, but January truly felt like it was dragging on forever and ever. In this post I want to share a few products that I have been loving during the month of January. These items really got me through what felt like such a loooong month after all the lovely Christmas festivities.

Rika Franca bag
The first thing I have been loving is a bag that I got myself during Christmas. It's this bag with star detail by Rika. I had some vouchers left over from my birthday last year that were due to expire in December last month, so I went started looking for a new bag. Soon after, I found this gorgeous bag at Hudson's Bay that had such an amazing discount going on that I couldn't leave it behind. This bag is such a classic bag that also involves one of my favourite things: Stars. Ever since I got it in December, it has been around my shoulder pretty much everywhere I go. It's such a classic bag that I hope to carry with my for a long, long time!

Vichy Dermablend Covermatte Compact Powder Foundation
Another favourite of mine is a makeup favourite. I remember talking about the Vichy Dermaplend powder back in my October favourites. I absolutely loved it back then, but soon had to stop using it because well... My tan was pretty much gone afterwards. During the beginning of January I started having withdrawals from this gorgeous product. So I had to get myself a new one, but during the winter I am definitely a shade 25 - Nude. Now we're reunited at last. During the month of January this gorgeous product helped me cover up my horrible after Chrismas breakout.
The Ordinary AHA + BHA Peeling Solution
Like I said, during January I started having a bit of an after Christmas breakout. I'm not sure whether this was because I had too much chocolate (aka sugar) during Christmas, because I was having a stressful beginning of January, or because I had trouble sleeping again. Anyhow, I got myself this AHA + BHA Peeling Solution by The Ordinary after reading so many great things about it. I ordered it during the end of December and received it in the beginning of January, so it came in very handy to try with my breakout. I felt like this peeling made my skin look fresher the morning after I had used it. However, I am not sure whether or not this really helped cure my breakout. Mainly because I also got back to the things that naturally clear my acne. So once my skin has calmed down a bit more, I will definitely report back on whether or not this helps with preventing new breakouts.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+
Another product that I have been loving during January especially, is the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +. Mainly, because this helps me with my breakouts. This product has been part of my skincare routine for such a long, long time. In this month's post I just wanted to give it a little shoutout again, just because it's a really great product in general that helps clear up the skin!

Topshop Red scarf
The last thing I have been loving during the month of January, is this gorgeous red scarf by Topshop. I already talked about how this scarf brightened up my month in this outfit post too. So I'm not going to blab on about it too much. Basically it's a gorgeous, red scarf, as you can see for yourself. I bought it on a whim while studying. Because I saw it one of my favourite bloggers while scrolling through instagram. I have been wearing it lots ever since I got it, which is quite rare for someone like me, who normally only really wears black, white or grey things. And the best part about it, is that it's on sale right now, so that gives you a reason to buy this gorgeous scarf too!

Now that it's February, I can already feel myself be a bit more excited about things in life again. Mainly because it's my birthday next week! I am starting to have everything a bit more under control and I also finally planned my week so that I have specific days to work on my blog and specific days to work on uni related stuff. So, yay!! Happy February and happy weekend!

  1. That bag is amazing, obsessed with anything embellished with stars at the minute. I've been really intrigued by this brand 'The Ordinary' as it's sort of come out of nowhere, might have to get my hands on some bits to try!
