BEAUTY | GARNIER BB CREAM REVIEW

You may have seen my latest Five Favourites post. It featured this product in that post, which is called the Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector. I needed a new BB cream as my Dior BB cream was getting to light for me, so on a recommendation of a friend of mine I decided to buy this BB cream from Garnier.

So what is this 5-in-1 BB cream supposed to do? It's supposed to make you look luminous, make imperfections look blurred and lines look softened, it hydrates your skin for 24 hours, has SPF15 in it to protect you from those nasty UV light and last of all, it's supposed to make it look like you have "perfect skin". So that's kind of a big deal.

Anyway, I didn't really look at what it was supposed to do, I just needed a new BB cream and thought I would give this a go and when I first tried it, I wasn't really sure if I would get on with the product. It's not as "runny" as the Dior BB cream I have, which I love. However after firmly using it for over a month now, I can say that I absolutely love it. Yes I do have pimples that I still have to conceal when I wear this BB cream, but that's no problem, I do have some scars from pimples on my chin that are still visible, but I don't mind. If I want to I could conceal them. My Dior BB cream kind of shows those pimples and scars too. But that's the whole point of BB cream. It's supposed to be light coverage, and this is no other story.

The scent of the BB cream is familiar. I think it's because I used Garnier products before, that's why I recognize the fragrance. It's not an unpleasant scent, it kinda smells like Aloe Vera. It also isn't an overwhelming scent. I can't stand funny smelling products, especially not in the morning and if I can use it in the morning without throwing up, I'm pretty sure it's a pleasant smell. If you're a bit picky when it comes to fragranced make-up , I definitely recommend sniffing it first in your drug store.

The only thing that bothered me is the colour. I got the colour Light. Now I'm not extremely pale, so if you're quite on the paler side when it comes to foundations, this might not be your dream product. I was actually too light for this product at first, but now that I have a bit more of a tan, I can wear it without my head looking completely different from my neck.

So overall I would say that this is a lovely BB cream, which I can use a bronzer and a blush with, it doesn't feel too wet when I put it on, it dries quickly. I don't think I have anything negative to say about this BB cream. I definitely think that they should bring out more colours, as I don't think I will be able to wear this shade in winter. But let's not talk about that (yet) as summer is around the corner.
