BEAUTY | QUICK AND MINIMAL UNI MAKEUP ROUTINE

We all love makeup don't we? As much as I love makeup, I like to keep my makeup routines as minimal as possible. In the past year I have discovered that a minimal makeup routine can really help me cure my acne. This makes sense as you don't tend to clog your pores as much. And whenever I come back from holiday, I also have such a hard time getting into makeup again. So right now, I feel like I have discovered the perfect minimal makeup routine, that doesn't break me out. But also gives me the perfect, healthy glow.

This makeup look is perfect for when you're still in high school or if you're in college/uni and want a minimal makeup look. The base is decent enough to actually go to school without looking like you put on lots of makeup and it covers up just enough.

So like I said before, my makeup and my skincare routine are so minimal right now. So after I have cleansed, moisturized and used a specific spot treatment on my skin, I start with my base. I always like to use a primer, as I feel like this is the first thing that prevents me from breaking out. Right now I am using the Too Faced Hangover primer. I have been using this primer for over a year now and it's just perfect for when you have a few dry patches. Once that has settled into my skin, I move on to my actual makeup routine. The first thing I use is the NARS Tinted Moisturizer in the shade Cuzco. I saw someone on YouTube use this in their makeup tutorial, and loved how it looked on their skin, so I had to get it while I was away on holiday. This shade is still perfect for me right now, as I am still quite tan. But I definitely will have to buy a winter shade, which probably will be Groenland or St. Moritz. Thankfully they finally are selling NARS in The Netherlands, so it's a lot easier to get my hands on their products!
Because I get quite oily throughout the day, I also like to put on some translucent powder, so that this tinted moisturizer doesn't make me look like a disco ball towards the end of the day. The translucent powder I am currently using is the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot powder. This is such an old powder that I got when I went to London nearly two years ago. But after disinfecting this powder, it still works like an absolute dream, and it doesn't break me out. This works like a dream!

Next I move on to my eyebrows. Eyebrows are such a staple in this makeup routine, as the rest of the look is so minimal. So I like to fill my eyebrows in with the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil in Hot Chocolate. I have loved using this brow pencil so much lately, as it gives such a natural, fuller brow look.

Next up is curling those eyelashes. I am very blessed to have really long eyelashes from myself, so I usually just curl them to make them look ever longer. I always use the Shiseido eyelash curler, which in my opinion is the best eyelash curler in the world. It's absolutely amazing and properly curls your lashes. The mascara I am currently using is yet another Too Faced product. It's the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. This is another product that I have been using since the beginning of this year and just keep going back to. This mascara works like a dream, especially when I combine it with the Shiseido eyelash curlers.

So that's it! I usually put on a little lip balm and I'm off to uni. This routine is just perfect for when I am off to uni. I like to plan it just so that I am just in time for uni. This routine only takes about 5 minutes, which means I have more time in the morning to actually sit down to have breakfast! Big yay to that, because I tend to skip breakfast when I'm off to uni because I always wake up a bit too late.
