MY MOMENTS IN MARCH

First of all: Happy Easter! I hope you're eating lots of chocolate eggs while reading this!
This is the first time that I have been able to sit down and actually write a blog post this week. This past week has been stressful and I ended up spending most of the beginning of my week working on deadlines. Then when all my deadlines disappeared, all the stress seemed to get out. I just now recovered from a 3-day headache and am currently curing a breakout with a new skincare routine. March has been such an overwhelming month filled with fun and not so fun activities. Now that I am really thinking about it, it's actually been quite a long month and I am happy that it's over. I am ready for April to start, I am ready for April weather and being able to go out for drinks at night with friends and not freeze my ass off.

February was the first month that I wrote down all of my favourite things about that Month, and I am going to continu writing these posts. Like I said before, they're such a good way to reflect on the little things that happened throughout the month and just help me be more positive in life. I hope this inspires you to write down a few of your favourite memories of March too, so you have something to look back on during the end of the year (or maybe even in a few years time).

OPENING NIGHT AT VAPIANO IN UTRECHT

The first exciting thing that happened this month that was quite exciting, was that I got invited to the opening night of Vapiano in Utrecht. Vapiano is one of those restaurants that I am constantly eating at whenever my friends and I are a little short on our budget. So when I got invited, I honestly felt quite proud, as I am such a big fan of the restaurant. The evening was filled with lots of delicious food, drinks and fun. One of my best friends decided to tag along for the night and we had such a good night filled with lovely memories.

WENT TO SEE THE SCRIPT LIVE

Later that week, after spending all day behind a computer with my friend from uni, I met up with my cousin. We were off to see The Script live later that day. The Script were one of my favourite artists while growing up and it's slowly becoming a tradition to go and see them live with my cousin. This was yet another memorable night for us two together and I am so happy we decided to go in the end. We were so pumped and hadn't seen each other in a while so, while we had an amazing night filled with music, we also had a really good catch up.

HAD AN AMAZING BELATED BIRTHDAY HIGH TEA WITH MY COUSINS

Then even later that week, on Sunday, my cousins treated me to a high tea. This was a belated birthday present they had promised to take me on. So on Sunday we were all off to Amsterdam to have a high tea at The Conservatorium Hotel. We're three girls and we have always been so close while growing up. We always used to go shopping with our mums while growing up. Now that we're older we love going on our own little adventures. I honestly had such a lovely afternoon in Amsterdam with my cousins. This day is definitely one of my favourite moments of this year, as we just had such a lovely chat about everything. We even made some cheeky holiday plans for March next year. This day just made my heart burst with love and gratitude. It made me realise I am so unbelievably lucky and grateful to have cousins in my life whom I consider as family and friends.

WENT TO A LOVELY, SMALL GIG IN TOWN

So March seems to be one of those months where I actually had lots of plans and fun. Another music gig I went to in March was a gig at Paard, in my hometown The Hague. My uni friend and I pretty much have the same taste in music and we stumbled across this singer songwriter called Daniel Docherty, we loved his music and decided to go there. It ended up being such a lovely, cosy gig. We both loved it. Besides being able to see a new(ish) artist grow, we also just got to hang out without having to talk or be frustrated about anything uni related, so it just was a very lovely night of bonding time with my friend.

HANDED IN ALL MY ASSIGNMENTS

Ok so this might not be as exciting as it is to me, but I handed in all of my assignments on Tuesday. Like I said, the past two weeks had been quite stressful because I somehow lost track of my planning this month. This resulted in my having to do a few things very last minute, which I hate. Last week I wasn't even sure if I would make my deadlines, but I ended up powering through (without going to bed at 4 in the morning) and I managed to hand in all of my assignments. After handing everything in, I was quite amazed at how much work someone can get done when you're determined to finish something. However, this also made me realise that I need to find a new way of working as this just isn't for me. So next term, I will be doing things differently.

HAD ONE OF MY FAVOURITE DAYS OF HANGING OUT WITH ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS

Being so busy with all of my deadlines, also meant that I basically did not have any time to see my friends. This resulted in me having major withdrawals from all of my friends. So on Thursday I met up with one of my oldest friends and we just had such a good idea. We started off with lunch, then walked around town a bit and just had a very good chat in general. We even made some exciting plans that I don't want to jinx just yet, so I'm not going to talk about it. Just chatting to her made me appreciate her so much more and I am so grateful to have her in my life. Since we have been friends since we've been about 7, I don't even consider her as my friend anymore, but I truly see her as a sister from another mister. This all makes me beyond excited to start a new adventure in life with her.

SHOT SOME REALLY COOL CONTENT FOR APRIL

This week I have taken a little step back from the blog. I wanted to take some time off to chill and to think about some new content that I wanted to post. So while I was on a little break earlier this week, I had time to think about new content, as well as create some new content. My friend helped me shoot some really cool shots in town on Friday and I also have so many fun content things planned for the rest of the month of April. This year I feel like I have finally found a way of creating content again that I like and want to share on my blog. I feed of this energy that it gives me and am so motivated and excited to share all of this new content with you! I am so excited to see what you think!

What I'm wearing:
