FIVE FAVOURITES OF APRIL

Another month has passed and I can’t believe how close we’re getting to summer! April is well and truly over and I am really hoping that May will finally bring some really lovely spring weather around. This month flew by, but thankfully I was a lot more prepared than last month as I took note of five favourites of the month of April. That made it a lot easier to type up this blog.

H&M Mañana Mañana tee

I feel like every blogger, instagram influencer and their mother owns this H&M Mañana Mañana tee. I just love it so much that I had to incorporate it into my favourites! One of my favourite things about this tee, is the saying on it. This all has to do with a holiday we all went on when I was younger. We had to get something fixed while we were staying in Spain, and there was this Spanish guy that would always say Mañana Mañana. It felt obligatory to buy this tee because of that.
The other reason why I liked this tee so much, is because this is such a good way to incorporate some spring/summer esque colours into my wardrobe. I am always gravitating towards the more basic kind of items, such as white, black and grey. I was inspired by the warmer weather we were getting and it felt like this was such a good item to buy to incorporate some more colour into my life!

NARS Soft Matte concealer in Crème Brulee

The first thing I have been loving during April, is the Nars Soft Matte concealer. I am pretty sure that this is my first time mentioning this product on the blog, but I have been obsessed with this concealer ever since I got it in august last year. I already repurchased it once to prove how much I love this concealer.
This product is so great for concealing your dark circles, but what I especially love to use it for, is for some of the acne scars on my cheeks. I have been going lighter again with my base and that resulted in my some hyperpigmentation from my acne scars coming through my base. So instead of picking another heavier base I have chosen to put on a lighter base. Sometimes when I am feeling lazy I don’t even cover up my pigmentation, but more often than not I use this concealer to conceal all the hyperpigmentation. When I have used this, my skin looks so much better and I feel so much more confident whenever I don’t have all those acne scars out.

ViDerm Complete Care for Acne Prone Skin

During March I had one of the worst breakouts of this year so far. I had pimples everywhere, my acne scars were flaring up and I just felt so unhappy in my own skin. I went to see my aesthetician and told her about my skin concerns. She recommended that I needed to try a new day/night cream that contains a few acids to help me clear up my skin again. So she recommended the ViDerm Complete Care for Acne Prone Skin.
I go through constant battles with my acne, and that’s why she recommended this cream. It contains Vitamin C, Azelaic, Salicylic and Glycolic Acids, Benzoyl Peroxide and Retinol. So every other day I have been using this day and night cream on a cleansed skin and it has really cleared up my acne and my pigmentation. It took a little while to work, but these past two weeks I have been noticing such a difference in my skin. My acne is a lot less and I feel like my acne scars are slowly fading too (and now I have probably jinxed myself and will end up having another horrible breakout next week).

Rituals SPF

Another beauty product that I have been loving, is the Rituals The Ritual Of Karma Sun protection face cream with SPF 50. Because of the day and night cream I mentioned above, I had to get myself a really good SPF 50 for my face. That same day I went to the Rituals store near me and decided to get this. I had heard great things about this product from a couple of my friends, so I was immediately sold.
SPF is always a tricky one. SPF can really make your face more oily, or break you out even more. So when I first used it, I was scared that it would break me out, as it has a fragrance to it as well as it being an SPF. While using it throughout the month, I was just waiting for my skin to break out from this product, as I have had so many SPF’s that would do that for me. In the end I did not end up breaking out and this SPF in combination with my new day and night cream really helps me clear up those annoying little acne pigmentation scars.

& Other Stories Sunnies

So I got myself a new pair of sunnies during March. I wanted to get myself a pair of sunnies that needed to be a substitute to my trusty old Céline Baby Audrey sunglasses. As much as I am still obsessed with those sunglasses, I felt like I needed a new pair of sunglasses to show off on the blog. I stumbled across these sunnies at & Other Stories during an impromptu trip to Amsterdam and just had to have them.
They’re still pretty similar to my Céline Baby Audrey sunglasses. But I have a confession to make. Over the past month I have been trying on lots of different pairs of sunglasses. Throughout the month I have noticed that I feel like I can only pull pairs of sunglasses off that look pretty similar to the Céline sunglasses. Who would have thought that I would have such a difficult time to find myself a new pair of sunglasses that I like.

    1. Ah thank you Lucy! I'm not sure if other people actually say it. Once my family and I heard a Spanish guy say it a few years back, we could not stop saying it!
