ESSENTIALS | MY FIVE FAVOURITE TRAINERS

7 November 2018

If you know me or if you have been following my blog for a couple of years then you would definitely know that I am a trainers kinda gal. I am never really one to wear heels or heeled boots and I only recently started wearing my low ankle boots again. However, I would still always prefer to wear a pair of trainers instead. Being comfortable is one of the most important things in life, especially as I am a uni student and spend most of my day either in class or at the library. Comfort is everything in my life, but I also like to think that it’s super normal to wear trainers, as most Dutch people tend to be wearing trainers. All of my girl friends I hang out with can usually be found wearing trainers. So it has become pretty normal for me to just wear trainers every day. In today’s post I thought it would be super fun to share a few of my favourite trainers.

Vans Old Skool trainers

My first favourite pair of trainers would have to be the Vans Old Skool trainers. These trainers have been a favourite of mine for nearly two years now. I wear my current Vans Old Skool trainers to death. These trainers have got to be one of the most comfortable pairs of trainers I own and I wear on a daily basis. The Vans Old Skool trainers are so easy to pair, as they pretty much go with anything. They look good with jeans, smart trousers and even dresses and skirts. This is probably why I wear them nearly every single day. The ones I currently own really have been loved, but they have come to the point where they are slowly starting to look worse for wear. Thankfully I already got myself a fresh pair ready to get another two years in these trainers.

Adidas Yung 96 trainers

If there’s one pair of trainers I can’t live without, it’s a pair of white trainers. It comes as no surprise that there are a few white trainers mentioned in this blog post. The first pair of white trainers that I have to mention in this blog post is the Adidas Yung 96 trainers. I am a big lover of the dad trainers trend and these have got to be my favourite pair of trainers. I wear these so much, they are super comfortable and such a great dupe for those Balenciaga trainers as they definitely won’t break your bank!

Nike MD2 Runner trainers

Another pair of super easy to style and wear trainers for me are the Nike MD2 Runner trainers. You might notice that I have got a bit of a theme going on here. As much as I love buying trainers, I don’t want them to break my bank. That’s why I usually end up buying my trainers from the Kids’ section if it’s possible. These trainers are one of those examples that I usually get myself from the kids’ section. My trainers always are a bit basic and very easy to style.

Superga platform trainers

If I feel like I want to feel a bit snazzier I would definitely go for my white Superga platform trainers. These trainers are again, such an affordable pair of trainers to get your hands on. However, they definitely can make an outfit a bit more interesting if you’re looking for something snazzy.

Adidas Stan Smith trainers

Finally I would have to give a little shoutout to my most worn trainers too. If there’s one pair of trainers I have worn lots the past four years, it would have to be these Adidas Stan Smith trainers. They are so easy to style and look great with everything. I especially think they look super lovely with my flared trousers, which is why I usually tend to pair those trousers with these trainers.
