GO-TO AUTUMN WALK OUTFIT

My favourite autumn days are those days with a clear blue sky, with that beautiful autumn sun, where it’s between 5 to 10 degrees Celsius and those beautiful yellow, orange and brown leaves feel extra crunchy to through. Those sort of autumn days are my favourite kind of days this season to go for walks. Its days like this that make me feel refreshed and like a new person. We have been super lucky this autumn and have had quite a few of these beautiful autumn days so far. I thought it would be fun to share my go-to outfit that I usually wear when I go for a long walk through the woods or a park to get a breath of fresh air.

Black knee length coat

A black knee length coat is such an essential in my autumn wardrobe. It comes as no surprise that a black knee length coat makes an appearance in this outfit. I love blank knee length coats, because they usually are a bit longer on me. As I am quite short, knee length coats usually cover up most of my legs. This is why I love them so much. Because these coats are a bit longer, they keep you super warm when you are on a walk in that brisk autumn air.

Turtleneck jumper

If I am really going for a longer walk outside I want to have as little accessories on me as possible. That’s why I usually like to wear a turtleneck jumper instead of putting on a scarf. I hate carrying around accessories, so I usually avoid wearing a super thick and cosy scarf and go for a cosy turtleneck jumper instead. It pretty much does the same job as a scarf, you can also hide your face in a turtleneck jumper, but there’s no hassle with a scarf that keeps flying off your shoulders as soon as a slight breeze hits the air.

Skinny jeans

Black skinny jeans are such a staple in my wardrobe. I don’t think I could ever live without a pair of black skinny jeans. I especially love my ASOS Ridley skinny jeans as I find them the most comfortable pair of jeans to wear. Usually when I go out for a walk in the park or forest and I don’t really care to dress up, I tend to just put on a pair of sports leggings. If I want to make an effort, I would put on a pair of jeans instead. Which is an interesting choice as they definitely aren’t as comfy as a pair of smart trousers with an elasticated waist. Instead of wearing trousers, I usually wear jeans. My main reason for it being that, besides these jeans being comfortable, they are also a lot warmer to wear on a walk than a comfy pair of smart trousers and more practical to wear than a pair of flared trousers.

Black lace up boots

The final item to finish of my go-to autumn walk outfit is a pair of black lace up boots. I love wearing these sorts of boots because firstly they are super comfy! Another reason to love these sort of boots is because they definitely keep your feet warm. As much as I love wearing trainers, they definitely aren’t practical to wear when you’re off on a long walk on a cold autumn day. These boots definitely keep you warm though. My final reason to love these boots is because I just love this style of boots and how they look. They immediately make an outfit so interesting.
