OUTFITS OF 2018

30 December 2018

Happy Sunday everyone! I can't believe there's only 1,5 days of 2018 left... This year has literally flown by, and with all the Christmas festivities I totally did not realise how quick the New Year would come around. Anyway, since it's the end of the year, I thought it would be fun to reflect back on all my outfits of 2018 again, as I always tend to do this when the new year comes around. It's always fun to look back on all the outfits you wear throughout the year, and I also tend to get some new inspiration from the outfits I have worn throughout the year.

WHAT I'M GRATEFUL FOR IN 2018

28 December 2018

Happy Friday. It's been a little while since I last posted, mainly due to all the Christmas festivities. I have been so out of it. This week has just felt like one big and long weekend and where I got to spend so much time for my family. I personally had the best Christmas and loved spending time with my whole family. That got me super inspired to write this post. I usually just write down the things I am grateful for in my bullet journal, as they really make me appreciate and love the small little things in life. And even though I try to share my gratitude all year long, I thought it woud be extra fun to reflect on what I have been grateful for in 2018.

SUITING UP FOR CHRISTMAS

24 December 2018

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! This post is so long overdue, I initially had planned on sharing this post last week. Sadly enough I managed to catch a little bit of a December cold, which meant I spent most of the last couple of days just relaxing and sleeping. Anyway, it's finally Christmas now! I cannot believe how fast this month has gone by. I am super excited for all the Christmas festivities.

But before I get into a proper Christmas state of mind I thought it would be fun to share my Christmas Eve outfit with you all. If you really know me, then you know that I am more of a smart trousers kind of gal. This year I have been umm-ing and aw-ing all December on what I want to wear this Christmas. In the end I just decided to go for suits... Mainly because I already have lots of suit-esque elements in my wardrobe.

My first outfit therefore is super simple. I decided to pair a smart trousers from ASOS with my H&M blazer and just style it with a simple but colourful tee from H&M. This outfit is such a me outfit for Christmas, as I usually don't really like to go for super sparkly things. I still regret leaving my Christmas outfit shopping until last week, as I would have loved to get myself one of those beautiful silky slip skirts that everyone on Instagram is frolicking around in. They are just so bloody lovely aren't they?

COSYING UP FOR SOME CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

19 December 2018

It feels like a little while since I last sat down to write a blog post. In reality it’s only been a couple of days, but this past week has felt like the longest week of my life. As you may or may not know I finally handed in my final assessment of the semester on Monday. After spending most of my weekend typing away because I once again started too late, I just needed to have a little break from my laptop screen. That’s why I spent most of my afternoon reading a book and watching a couple of Christmas films.

WINTER WEEKEND COMFORT OUTFIT

14 December 2018

The weekends are always my favourite time of the week. I love strolling around town during the weekend. However, if there’s one thing, it’s that I need to be comfortable if I know I am going to be in town all Saturday or Sunday. So what my friends and I love to do, is we like to go out for brunch first and then just walk around the area for a bit. If there’s not a lot of things to do around that area of town, then we usually just go into the city centre to stroll and look at the shops for the rest of the day.

Now if there’s one thing I have learnt from brunching in the weekend, is that’s you need to be comfortable. I tend to always overdo brunch a bit and love eating bread. Both overeating and my love for bread are not that good of a combo for my tummy, as I always tend to feel a bit bloated after brunch. That’s why it’s so essential for me to be super comfortable during the weekend so I can easily stroll around town without having a pair of skinny jeans cutting into my tummy. As much as I love comfort during the week, I am also a major comfort outfit seeker during the weekend and this is one of my go-to winter weekend comfort looks.

CHRISTMAS TREE SHOPPING

13 December 2018

We’re halfway into December and my parents and I just yesterday managed to get our tree up and decorated. It’s so bad… At first I wanted to get a tree in the very beginning of December. Then life got in the way and I had lots of deadlines to hand in. We then were planning on going to buy our tree during the weekend, but the whole city turned out to be at the garden centre to buy their Christmas trees, so we decided to just get one on Monday instead. Turns out we bought such a big tree that didn’t fit into our car, which meant we had to get it delivered home. And it only arrived Wednesday morning, so all of yesterday afternoon was spent decorating the tree. It may have taken a bit, but it’s finally up and it’s always such an achievement to see it in the middle of the living room while it slowly turns dark.

MY END OF YEAR GOALS

10 December 2018

November and December are really busy months for me. I am in the middle of finishing things up for university and I have so many big deadlines. That’s why in these last three weeks of the year I wanted to set myself some goals. Somewhere in the beginning of this month I started noticing that I was not really feeling so great. I was starting to live from deadline to deadline and was not really appreciating everything happening around me. That’s why this weekend I decided to set myself a couple of goals I want to achieve this month to live more in the moment and to enjoy a few smaller things.

FIVE FAVOURITES OF NOVEMBER

9 December 2018

Only just now I have had the time to sit down and talk you through all of my favourite things of November. November has been such a busy month that has literally gone by in a blur. I feel like I have been on autopilot this past month, with how busy I was. I can barely remember any of the things that have happened in that month. That’s probably the reason why it took me a little longer to write down a list of all the things I have loved in November.

GETTING INTO THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

7 December 2018

I am only two blog posts into December and I already feel like I am on a roll with all the festive content. I am slowly but surely starting to feel super festive and it’s all got to do with a couple of fun things I did this weekend. In the run up to Christmas I always like to do a couple of fun and festive activities to get in the Christmas spirit. This basically is a post dedicated to all the fun things I like to do in December to get myself super excited for the holidays.

PLANNING CHRISTMAS ON A UNI BUDGET

5 December 2018

Happy December guys! Omg, I can’t believe one of my favourite months of the year is already here. This year is literally flying by in the blink of an eye. My first couple of days of December were quite stressful, just like most of November was to me. However, I handed in a big assignment now and am ready to get into the proper festive mood. I started my Chritmas prep quite early this year, as I knew I would be busy during December, and since everyone is posting Christmas gift guides right now, I thought it would be fun to write a blog post that is a bit different instead. In today’s post I thought it would be fun to share a couple of tips to plan your Christmas while on a uni budget.
