MY SPRING BEAUTY ESSENTIALS

This post contains affiliate links
This post contains two PR gifts

Talking about beauty products would have to be one of my favourite things to do. I love sitting down with friends or my cousins discussing the newest beauty products we have added to our collections. There’s just something so exciting about sharing products you truly love with your friends. I feel like my friends and especially my cousins are my OG influencers that can easily make me buy beauty products I am not sure I really need in my life. But as much as I love to listen and learn from them about new beauty products, they also love to hear my recommendations. There are a couple of beauty products I have been really loving these past three months that I talked about lots to my cousins. By talking about these products over the weekend, I felt inspired to write a blog post to share five of the beauty products I have been absolutely obsessed with this spring.

Rituals the Ritual of Dao foaming shower gel

The first product I have loved to use this spring is the Ritual of Dao shower foam gel from Rituals. I honestly think it is ridiculous to spend €8 on a shower gel and I normally wouldn’t really do so. However, I bought this on a whim a couple of months ago when I didn’t want to pay €4 shipping costs for a book I had purchased, so I added this shower foam to my basket to qualify for free shipping, - please tell me I am not the only one who adds useless things to her basket just to qualify for free shipping. I have used this every day since and I am pretty pleased with how long it has lasted me. I really love this scent, it contains white lotus and Yi Yi Ren. It’s probably the white lotus what makes me love this foaming shower gel so much. Whenever I use this in the morning I take a deep breath to really soak this scent in and it just eases my mind and makes me feel ready for my day. It’s also a moisturising foaming shower gel, unlike some of the others I have tried over the years. Hence I can’t stop talking about it at the moment as it means I don’t have to lather body lotion on to my legs and arms.

Kiehl’s Glow Formula Skin Hydrator*

It might not be a surprise that I have once again mentioned this product on my blog. I absolutely love to give this product a mention on here as it contributes to the glow many of you tend to compliment me on whenever I post new photos. It’s the Kiehl’s Glow Formula Skin Hydrator* which the lovely PR team of Kiehl’s have very kindly gifted me last year. I have used it lots since then, but it just doesn’t seem to run out. Not that I mind though, I absolutely love to use this Glow Formula Skin Hydrator during this time of year as a glowy base I put on after my moisturizer when I don’t feel like putting on any more makeup. It makes me look awake and give me an healthy glow, which I am all for.

Jil Sander Sun Shake perfume

Earlier this year I already mentioned the Jil Sander Sun Shake perfume in a five favourites post. Ever since I have written that blog post I have used the Jil Sander Sun Shake perfume on a daily basis. Like I said in that post, this is the perfect summer scent for people who love fruity and flowery scents. These are basically my two favourite top notes in a perfume, as it works really well with the pH-levels on my skin. This obviously is the reason why I love this perfume so much. I am nearly half way through my bottle now and am already looking forward to buying a new one that I can use all summer long.

This Works Morning Expert Hyaluronic Serum*

It’s no surprise that the This Works Morning Expert Hyaluronic Serum* that has been gifted to me by the lovely girls from This Works also has made it onto my spring beauty essentials list. I have already raved about this hyaluronic serum in my five favourites and also have explained why I love using hyaluronic serum on my skin so much. Since I started using this product at the end of March my acne scars are slowly starting to fade and my skin looks much more plump, bright and healthy in general. It all has to do with the ingredients in this serum: hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. Vitamin C is great to brighten your skin as well as lighten scars. Hyaluronic acid is great to make sure moisture stays inside of your skin if you are dehydrated like me. So even though this product has been gifted to me, I am actually nearly out of this serum and have already bought my next one just so I am not without it and start to have any sort of withdrawals from it.

Rituals The Ritual of Karma sun protection Face Cream

Now that we have had so many beautiful and sunny days at the end of May and the beginning of June, it felt obligatory to share my love for this sun protection with you. Like the Jil Sander Perfume, this Rituals The Ritual of Karma sun protection Face Cream has made several appearances on my blog over the past year. I mentioned it in my summer beauty essentials post last year too, and I am in no doubt that it will make it onto my summer beauty essentials for this year too. I have watched a lot of videos from dermatologists lately and they all say that it doesn’t matter what kind of SPF you put on. As long as it protects you from UVA and UVB rays and gives you a broad-spectrum protection. The most important reason to actually start putting an SPF on religiously, is if the application works for you and how it feels on your skin. The two main reasons why I love this SPF and love to put this particular SPF on my face as a UVA and UVB protectant is because it doesn’t make my skin feel sticky and it doesn’t break me out, two of my main concerns when it comes to my skin.
