PARIS FASHION WEEK | MY AW14 FAVOURITES

6 March 2014

It is every fashion blogger's dream to go to Paris Fashion Week. I hope to go there one day during Fashion Week, even if it's just to spot the amazing street style at the venues. This is the first time that I actually kept up with PFW and I decided to put some of my many favourites shows below.

Saint Laurent
This collection from Saint Laurent would have to be my favourite. It went back to the '60's and '70's with these iconic shapes. I would wear this collection myself. Every single piece. Well if I had the money for it, I totally would. I can't really describe why I love this collection so much, maybe it's because the inspiration Hedi Slimane took from the '60's and '70's, I just can't get over this collection! Oh and I saw some tartan and some dogtooth print coming up on the runway. Oui, j'adore!

Alexander McQueen
The Alexander McQueen show looked pretty amazing. The models had to walk down a beachy/nature catwalk because nature was the theme at their show. They mixed romantic prints with a bit of nature and you obviously can see that. My favourites are the white dress and the black dress with the purple details, not sure why, but I like them. A lot.

Givenchy
It was all about being chic at the Givenchy show. This show has to be in my top 3 of my favourite shows. I could see myself wearing these coats, but I asked my mum and she totally would wear them too. So Givenchy did such a great job creating a chic collection for the younger and the older Givenchy lovers.

Chanel
First I would like to say that Karl Lagerfeld is an absolute genius for doing his fashion show at a "Chanel" supermarket. Brilliant in my opinion. If only it was real.. I'm normally not really a Chanel gal, but this A/W collection blew my mind! I loved the fact that Karl Lagerfeld mixed the young fun French streetstyle mixed with the classic Chanel pieces. This collection looks so effortless and chic and is definitely something I would wear!
