Make up has been something I have gotten really into over the last couple of years. Over the years that I started wearing makeup I have tried out so, so many mascara's, bronzers, eyeliners and brow products, that it's safe to say that I know what I like and don't on my face. In this post I'll share my all time favourite summer makeup bits and bops with you.
Starting of with a bb cream. I always am on the hunt for new, amazing looking BB or CC creams, but somehow I never really found anything that I liked quite as much as I love my Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream. I remember my friends and I were talking about what to put on your face when we were in high school. Back then I used to use powders, as I was this oily girl, but one of my friends, who had the same face problems like I had, told us that she used this BB cream and absolutely loved it. So me being the sucker who wants to try out all the products that other people love, I got out of school and went straight to the drugstore to get my hands on this BB cream. And it has been loved ever since.
I am such a sucker for being bronzed. I just look a lot healthier than if I wouldn't wear bronzer. I remember getting into watching Youtube videos when I was around thirteen and the NARS Laguna bronzer was hot on there. So when I went to Sephora in Spain that summer, I decided that I had to have that bronzer. The thing that made me put off that purchase was that this bronzer costs $39, or like €40. I decided that I didn't want to spend that much money on a bronzer, which is crazy and walked out. Regretting it for a year, I decided to get it in the summer of 2013 and I have repurchased it ever since. I also hit pan on about 4 of these bronzers, so this is most definitely loved in my collection.
Okay, so I am still quite new to the whole blush thing. Still not sure wether or not I can pull it off, so I haven't really got a spectacular one. But I bought this Kiko Shade Fushion blush in 02 Sand during Christmas for my mum and myself and I've really been liking this product. It's the perfect amount of colour to put on my cheeks and just gives me that nice little 'flush'.
I cannot leave the house without using any sort of eyebrow product. This is one of those trial and error kinda products for me. I had such a hard time finding the perfect brow product, especially when I was still in high school. But I finally know a bit more about makeup and don't actually feel like a clown when applying eyebrow products and I thank my Soap and Glory Archery Brow sculpting crayon in Brown and Out. I discovered this while browsing around Boots in London in December this year, but I can't get over how much I love this product!
Eyeliner is such a big deal for me. I started wearing eyeliner when I was fourteen or fifteen and I had such a long search for the perfect eyeliner. I remember always trying Maybelline eyeliners but they weren't really 'black', so then my cousin introduced me to the MAC Cosmetics Liquidlast liner, which is AMAZING, but so hard to take off, so when I received this Kiko Definition Eyeliner for my birthday from some of my friends, I fell in love with this eyeliner! It's so easy to use and I can't wait to repurchase it again as Kiko products are so affordable!
Mascara. The thing I hate looking for. My lashes are quite long but I don't have many, so finding a volume mascara, that also give me length is so hard to find. I remember that I never really sticked to one mascara when I was in high school, but after graduation I just started using the MaxFactor False Lash Effect mascara and I really liked how this particular product worked with my lashes.
I always buy myself countless of lip balms and never really use them up. I recently stumbled upon this Nuxe Rêve de Miel lip balm and I cannot use any other lip balms ever since I tried these. I love how moisturizing this is, considering I have dry lips quite often. It does the amazing job of making me feel like I actually have smooth lips.
Lipstick is not something I wear often and when I wear it, I'd prefer it not being very visible. So when I went on the hunt for a very pretty, your lips but better lipstick I ended up at MAC, of course. I had such a long debate with the girl at the counter at what I liked and suited me, and we eventually ended up with picking the MAC Cremesheen lipstick in Shanghai Spice. It's the perfect colour for me and I love how it looks on me.
What are your all time makeup favourites? I'd love to know!
