4 THINGS ON MY END OF SUMMER TO-DO LIST

This post contains affiliate links

We’re half way through August, which means we’re nearly through summer. I cannot believe how fast summer went this year. Time is actually flying. There are still a couple of things on my to-do list this summer that I would love to do before the end of summer and before I go away on holiday. I want to take my holiday time offline so I can have proper time to breathe and I made myself a little to-do list to hold myself accountable.

Finish rewriting my dissertation

Yep, I am still dealing with my dissertation. After such a stressful year last year, I have taken my time to rewrite it now. It took me almost half a year to rewrite it I unexpectedly also had to take quite a lot of time in my summer holiday, which is when most uni students have off, to rewrite my dissertation. After spending so much time carefully rereading and rewriting it I am slowly becoming happy with how it’s looking now. All I have left to do before the end of this month is to finish rewriting it and I want to make it a bit more appealing on the eyes. This means I also am going to make redesign to make it a touch more personal.

Do a wardrobe clear out

There’s nothing more satisfying than doing a major wardrobe clear out. It gives you such a good look into all the clothes you already own. I love doing wardrobe clear outs to do a little bit of inventory. This makes me feel organised for the season ahead. Besides that my room has also been a bit of a mess with clothes overflowing everywhere. I am looking forward to doing a clear out and donating a couple of bits and bops I no longer use to women’s shelters to give those items a better home.

Write my holiday packing list

I like to go on holiday prepared. Writing a holiday packing list always helps me feel more in control of my travels. By doing so I know I will be able to leave for my holiday without feeling the stress that can sometimes come from travelling. Not only does it help for me to write holiday packing lists to feel more in control, it’s also a bit of an exciting build-up to the whole holiday in general. I love packing my beauty bits and folding my clothes for my holiday, which is probably why I am already looking forward to writing a packing list too.

Get back into my workout routine

At the end of July/beginning of August I have been slacking a bit on my workout routine. My friend went away on holiday, which always makes me a bit less motivated to go. During that week we also had the warmest heat wave ever in The Netherlands. The thought of going to a gym without air conditioning in 40 degree Celsius weather already made me feel a bit queasy, which is why I decided to skip it all together. My friend is back from her holiday now and I am super excited to get back into my workout routine with her. We’ve already had a couple of gym sessions so far, but I also need to get back into going to the gym once a week by myself. And as weird as it sounds, I am actually excited to get back into my workout routine.

Is there anything still on your to-do list before the summer ends?
